Objective IMF Measurement
Advancing non-invasive IMF measurement for Beef and Cattle.
Beef and Cattle Applications
inMR Measure is extending its magnetic resonance technology into beef and cattle applications, building on proven intramuscular fat (IMF) measurement capability developed in lamb and sheep.
Our beef and cattle work is currently in the proof-of-concept and validation phase. Early trials have demonstrated strong potential, with ongoing work focused on refining measurement under commercial conditions.
Current Development
Initial work has demonstrated strong potential for applying magnetic resonance to IMF measurement in beef.
Current efforts are focused on proof-of-concept and validation, assessing performance across different breeds, sizes and operating conditions. This work is a critical step toward understanding how the technology can be effectively deployed in both hot carcase and live cattle measurement.
Proven Technology
The development of beef applications is underpinned by the same Marbl™ platform successfully deployed in lamb.
This provides a strong foundation, with existing capability already demonstrated across automated in-line measurement and live-animal trials, supporting confidence in the technology as it expands into new applications.
Looking Ahead
As development progresses, inMR Measure aims to further validate and refine IMF measurement for beef across commercial environments.
This work represents a natural next step in extending objective, non-invasive measurement across the red meat sector.
